Benign ovarian teratoma in the dog with predominantly nervous tissue: A case report

Ovarian teratomas are rare neoplasms in female dogs, and they characterised by the proliferation of tissues embryonic origin. Most benign, but a histological diagnosis is important for clinicians. The objective this article to describe benign ovarian teratoma dog, which was found on street appearing like pregnant. A veterinary inspection palpation documented an enlarged abdomen with mass tough matter located right side abdominal-pelvic part. An ultrasound examination presumed neoplastic region ovary. bilateral ovariohysterectomy performed subsequent evaluation revealed histochemically immunohistochemically verified nervous tissue. After one year, no distant metastases were dog recognised as being clinically healthy without problems. On basis ultrasonography diagnostics histopathological analyses, we have demonstrated occurrence dog.
